Gima Depot Rules

Gima (UK) LTD - Depot Visitor Rules and Guidelines

By entering, purchasing, or collecting goods from any of our depots (including the car park), you agree to comply with the following rules and guidelines.

1. Vehicle Safety

Vehicles and their contents are parked entirely at the owner's risk. Gima (UK) LTD accepts no liability or responsibility for the safety of vehicles and their contents from theft or damage.

2. No Smoking Policy

Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes or vaping, is strictly prohibited inside the depot premises.

3. Eating and Drinking

Eating and drinking are only permitted within designated areas. These activities are prohibited in all other parts of the depot.

4. Damage and Theft

The unauthorised opening of cases or packs constitutes criminal damage. The consumption of goods for sale (that have not been paid for or provided as part of a promotion) is considered theft. We will prosecute these offences to the full extent of the law.

5. Security Surveillance

You may be recorded by our security surveillance system within the depot and its car park, in accordance with the Gima (UK) LTD Privacy Policy.

6. Child Safety

Children under the age of twelve (12) years are not permitted beyond the reception area. Children under the age of twelve (12) must not be left unaccompanied in the reception area.

7. Fire Alarm and Evacuation

Upon hearing the fire alarm, you must proceed to the nearest fire exit and vacate the depot immediately. Please follow all instructions issued by Gima (UK) LTD employees and assemble at the designated Fire Assembly Point (indicated by a Green Sign), which is typically at the main entrance gate. You are required to participate in any fire evacuation drill taking place during your visit.

8. Restricted Access

Entry into any restricted areas, including those temporarily cordoned off for forklift operations, goods-in, and storage areas, is strictly forbidden.

9. Health and Safety

You are required to comply with all Health and Safety legislation applicable to our depots and adhere to the requirements of our health and safety policies and all displayed safety signage. Please exercise due care and attention whilst on the depot premises and within the car park.

10. Harassment and Abuse

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any verbal or physical abuse directed at our staff or fellow customers and will prosecute offenders on their behalf wherever possible.

11. Right of Entry

We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or request the departure of, any individual from a depot or its car park without providing a reason. Failure to comply with such a request will be considered trespass.

12. Waste Disposal

Visitors are not permitted to bring waste onto our premises for disposal. Please do not leave waste in the car park, grounds, or skip. You are legally required to make your own arrangements for the disposal of trade waste with an approved waste management company.

13. Liability for Damage

You or your agents will be held liable for any damage caused to our property and trade stock.
